DESCRIPTION
AMOXYCOLIMAX combines Amoxycillin and Colistin for a powerful, synergistic antimicrobial effect. Amoxycillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin with broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Campylobacter, penicillinase-negative Staphylococcusand Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacteriumspp., Clostridium spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurellaspp., Salmonella spp., Moraxella spp., E. coli, and others. Its bactericidal action results from inhibiting cell wall synthesis, with primary excretion through urine and bile, making it effective for treating renal infections and intra-hepatic Salmonella infections.
Colistin, a member of the polymyxin group, exhibits strong bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Haemophilus, Salmonella spp., and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It works by disrupting the bacterial cell membrane, causing leakage of intracellular contents and inhibiting bacterial oxidative metabolism. Due to minimal absorption after oral administration (less than 1%), Colistin remains active in the gastrointestinal tract, targeting local infections effectively.
INDICATIONS
AmoxyColimax is indicated for the treatment and prevention of a range of infections in calves, pigs, lambs, and poultry. This includes gastrointestinal infections, respiratory infections, urogenital infections, local inflammations, and secondary bacterial infections associated with viral diseases. Additionally, AmoxyColimax is highly effective against infections caused by bacteria susceptible to colistin, particularly Colibacillosis and Salmonellosis.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to amoxicillin and/or colistin.
Avoid use in animals with seriously impaired renal function.
Do not administer concurrently with tetracyclines, fluorophenol, macrolides, or lincosamides.
Not suitable for animals with active microbial digestion.
Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via feed or drinking water.
Poultry, pigs: 100 g per 150 liters of drinking water for 3–5 days.
Calves, lambs: 5 g per 50 kg bodyweight for 3–5 days.
Mixed with feed, use the product immediately. Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 8 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
