DESCRIPTION
Difloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used in chickens and turkeys. It is effective against a range of organisms, including Mycoplasmaand both Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Pasteurella multocida, and Salmonella.
INDICATIONS
Diflovet 10 WSP is effective against respiratory problems caused by sensitive strains of Escherichia coli and Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
It also improves growth, performance, and overall health in poultry by eliminating Gram-negative pathogens.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Reduce usage of difloxacin in laying hens during the egg-laying period.
SIDE EFFECTS
Difloxacin may occasionally cause gastrointestinal disturbances.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
It is advised to confirm the susceptibility of the causative microorganisms before beginning treatment with difloxacin. Keep the product in its original container.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via drinking water:
Poultry, turkeys: 10 mg per kg of body weight, administered in drinking water for 3 – 5 days.
Mixed with drinking water, the product should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 5 days
Eggs: 5 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8°C and 25°C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
