DESCRIPTION
Doxycycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic from the tetracycline group, effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli, Bordetella, Campylobacter, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcusspp. It also targets Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Rickettsiaspecies. Its action is based on inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Due to its strong affinity for lung tissues, doxycycline is particularly effective in treating respiratory infections.
INDICATIONS
DOXYPURE 200 WSP is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline, including E. coli, Bordetella, Campylobacter, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, as well as Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Rickettsia species. It is effective in calves and poultry, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial protection.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
Avoid use in animals with severely impaired kidney or liver function.
Not suitable for animals with active microbial digestion, such as ruminants.
Do not use in layers producing eggs or animals producing milk for human consumption.
SIDE EFFECTS
Teeth discoloration in young animals may be observed after prolonged periods of administration.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
Do not combine with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones, and cycloserine.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via drinking water (poultry, pigs) or milk replacer (calves).
Calves: 2.5 g per 50 kg bodyweight for 3 - 5 days (equivalent to 10 mg of doxycycline per kg bodyweight).
Poultry: 500 g per 1,000 liters of drinking water for 3 - 5 days (equivalent to 20 mg of doxycycline per kg bodyweight).
Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours. Mixed with milk replacer, use the product within 12 hours.

Calves: 14 days
Poultry: 7 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
