Each ml contains
Enrofloxacin: 100 mg
Colistin sulphate: 1,200,000 IU
DESCRIPTION
The combination of enrofloxacin (a quinolone) and colistin (a polymyxin) provides an additive bactericidal effect.
Enrofloxacin is effective against E. coli, Mycoplasma, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Pasteurella, Streptococcus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, and Campylobacter spp.
Colistin targets Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Haemophilus, and Salmonella spp. It is poorly absorbed orally, acting mainly in the gastrointestinal tract.
This combination effectively treats a broad range of bacterial infections, both systemic and gastrointestinal.
INDICATIONS
ENROCOLIMAX ORAL is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to enrofloxacin and colistin, including:
Mycoplasma gallisepticum (CRD)
Mycoplasma synoviae
Avibacterium paragallinarum (Coryza)
Pasteurella multocida (Fowl cholera)
E. coli
It is also effective against urinary tract infections, wound infections, and secondary bacterial infections that may complicate viral diseases.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to enrofloxacin and/or colistin.
Not for use in birds laying eggs for human consumption.
Avoid use in animals with severely impaired renal or hepatic function.
SIDE EFFECTS
None.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via drinking water. Shake well before use.
Poultry: 1,000 ml per 2,000 liters of drinking water for 3 - 5 days.
Pigs: 1,000 ml per 3,000 liters of drinking water for 3 - 5 days.
Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 9 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
