Erythromycin thiocyanate: 200 mg
DESCRIPTION
Erythromycin is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic from the macrolide class, designed specifically for poultry health. It acts as a bacteriostatic agent by binding reversibly to the 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking transpeptidation and translocation reactions, which inhibits protein synthesis and reduces bacterial growth and replication.
INDICATIONS
ERYTHROVET 20 WSP is recommended for the treatment of both systemic and localized infections. It is particularly effective as an alternative to penicillin, especially for managing infections caused by Streptococcusand Staphylococcus species. It is also highly effective against Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma spp., as well as infections from Pasteurella and Salmonella species.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to erythromycin.
Avoid use in animals with impaired liver function.
Not recommended for animals with active microbial digestion, such as ruminants.
SIDE EFFECTS
Erythromycin can occasionally cause gastrointestinal disturbances.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
Do not combine erythromycin with other macrolide antibiotics.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via drinking water:
Poultry, turkeys: 100 g per 100 liters of drinking water for 3 – 5 days.
Mixed with drinking water, the product should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 6 days
Eggs: 6 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8°C and 25°C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
