DESCRIPTION
Levamisole is a synthetic, broad-spectrum anthelmintic effective against both adult and larval stages of gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms in cattle, sheep, and pigs. Following oral or parenteral administration, levamisole works by paralyzing the worms, which are then expelled through the feces within 24 hours after parenteral administration. LEVACURE 200 WSP is safe for use in pregnant animals and those in poor condition, providing effective parasite control without compromising animal health.
INDICATIONS
LEVACURE 200 WSP is indicated for the prevention and treatment of lung and gastrointestinal worm infections in cattle, sheep, pigs, and poultry.
Indications by Species:
Cattle & Sheep: Effective against Cooperia, Dictyocaulus, Bunostomum, Chabertia, Nematodirus, Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Protostrongylus, and Trichostrongylus species.
Poultry: Provides control against Ascaridia and Capillaria species.
LEVACURE 200 WSP offers broad-spectrum protection, ensuring effective management of parasitic infections in a range of livestock and poultry.
CONTRA-INDICATION
Do not administer to animals with impaired liver function.
Not for use in animals producing milk for human consumption.
Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
SIDE-EFFECTS
Overdoses can cause cholinergic-type symptoms such as salivation, muscular tremors, and head shaking.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
Do not administer together with morantel, pyrantel, and organo-phosphorus compounds.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via feed or drinking water.
Cattle: 7.5 – 10 g per 200 kg bodyweight for 1 day.
Sheep: 400 mg per 10 kg bodyweight for 1 day.
Poultry: 100 g per 200 liters of drinking water for 1 day.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 10 days
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep medicine away from children.
