DESCRIPTION
Fosfomycin (FOS) is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that targets proliferating bacteria by inhibiting cell wall and early peptidoglycan synthesis. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Salmonella spp., E. coli, Pasteurellaspp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilusspp., Klebsiella spp., and Pseudomonas spp.

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity effective against a range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Treponema species. It is particularly effective in controlling infections caused by Mycoplasma.

Fructose 1.6-diphosphate is a key fructose sugar derived from glucose and fructose conversion. It plays a significant role in cellular metabolism, enhancing energy production and overall cell function, which can support the effectiveness of antibiotic therapy.

INDICATIONS
MEDIFOS PLUS T WSP is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in broilers caused by microorganisms sensitive to fosfomycin and tylosin. It is effective in treating respiratory and digestive tract infections caused by E. coli, Salmonella spp., mycoplasmosis, chronic respiratory disease (CRD) complex, fowl cholera, infectious coryza, avian typhoid, and staphylococcal infections.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Do not use in animals with severely impaired renal or hepatic function.
Do not use in hens laying eggs intended for human consumption.

SIDE EFFECTS
A mild diarrhoea may be observed during or after treatment.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration in drinking water.
The recommended dosage level is 160 mg per kg of body weight, approximately equivalent to:
