DESCRIPTION
Sulfadimidine is primarily a bactericidal agent effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Pasteurella, and Eimeria species. It works by inhibiting bacterial purine synthesis, thereby blocking essential metabolic processes needed for bacterial growth and replication.
