Sulphadiazine sodium: 500 mg
DESCRIPTION
The combination of trimethoprim and sulphadiazine works synergistically to enhance antibacterial efficacy. This combination is used to treat a broad range of bacterial infections, including those affecting the urinary, respiratory, and intestinal tracts. It is effective against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as Staphylococci, Streptococci, E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Pasteurella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Haemophilus influenzae, Corynebacterium spp., and Avibacterium paragallinarum.
INDICATIONS
SULTRIM 600 WSP is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections caused by bacteria sensitive to trimethoprimand sulphadiazine, such as E. coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus species. It is effective for use in calves, sheep, goats, and poultry, ensuring broad-spectrum antibacterial protection for various livestock.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with severely impaired liver and/or renal function.
Avoid use in animals with known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides or trimethoprim.
Not recommended for animals with impaired hematopoietic systems.
Do not administer to animals suffering from oliguria (reduced urine output) or anuria (absence of urine output).
Not for use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
SIDE EFFECTS
Hypersensitivity reactions, cross-resistance to sulfonamides.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS
Do not combine with other veterinary medicinal products.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via feed, milk replacer, or drinking water.
Calves, lambs, kids: 5 g per 50 kg bodyweight twice daily, for 4 - 7 days.
Poultry: 500 g per 1,000 liters of drinking water for 4 - 7 days.
Mixed with feed, the product should be used immediately. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat:
Calves, lambs, kids: 8 days.
Poultry: 3 days.
STORAGE
Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep away from children.
